Martial discipline and self-defense system
American Kenpo Karto you
Kenpo Karate or American Kenpo Karate is the martial art created by M ° Ed Parker. The birth of this martial art is due to the need to create an art that could be more effective in self-defense on the street, compared to other martial arts. Characteristic of Kenpo Karate is the speed of execution of the strokes. There are few films shot on this martial art, one of them is "The Perfect Weapon".
M ° Ed Parker
Born in 1931 in Hawaii, the Master began to practice as a first art marial Judo. Over the years he devoted himself to Kenpo, under the guidance of Master William Chow with whom he managed to reach the degree of black belt. However, according to Ed Parker, traditional Kenpo did not respond to the modern need for self-defense on the street. At this point he decided to make changes to the style he had studied, to make it easier to respond to the different situations that could happen on the street. In this way he created the style he called American Kenpo Karate.
